EQUIPMENT
CRITERIA.
Proposed Digital
CCTV Equipment.
PJS have sourced and
originally built with Moss Pharmacy a digital CCTV system to
operate to their required standards. PJS use the P.C. Equipment
which we have field tested with Moss Pharmacy in 2002 & we have
continually developed the product to keep it at the forefront of
technology . We are now confident that we have an easy to use,
reliable and competitively priced system that exceeds most users
requirements. The system is being continually upgraded to the
latest software as it becomes available.
The PJS digital CCTV P.C.
System incorporates the following components:-
3.8Ghz dual
core computer system with 1Gb RAM.
500Gb Hard Drive 8
camera. 750Gb Hard Drive 16 camera .
18x
DVD+ writer.![nov25_08[1].jpg](http://pjse.co.uk/uploadedFiles/1173522008375-6180.jpg)
17" flat screen colour
monitor.
Small wax cooled P.C.
Case with mini keyboard & mouse,
On board network card. Remote access
software.
Windows XP.
Geovision 50 frames per second software (100 fps 16
camera)
The Digital CCTV system
has these advantages over the conventional analogue
CCTV
1. 31days storage of images direct onto hard drive
resulting in no loss of image quality on playback.
2. Images copied via DVD writer onto CD/DVD for
evidence.
3. Remote monitoring of premises protected.
5. System can telephone or SMS messaging to mobile phone
pagers etc. on detection of motion.
6. System can mask unwanted areas of the protected
areas.
7. System can be accessed remotely for retrieval of
images.
8. No tapes to change and store or video recorder
required.
9. System simple to use and once set up can be left
without manual intervention.
10. Printing of images direct from standard
printer.
11. No complicated multiplexer to set up if
configuration is altered by third party (a reboot resets the system
back to default).
12. Flexible camera settings and playback selection by
the user.
13. All events time and date stamped.
14. Various displays on the monitor for either all
camera’s, switcher, picture in picture etc.
15. Digital watermarking of captured
images.![desk_pjs2[1].jpg](http://pjse.co.uk/uploadedFiles/1173521860343-0947.jpg)
16. Password protection of system
utilities.
17. Pop up window on motion detection.
18. Point of sales transactions can be recorded onto
till camera.
19. System can email reports of activations, camera loss
etc.
20. Unattended objects detection.![nov25_02[1].jpg](http://pjse.co.uk/uploadedFiles/1173521669406-2504.jpg)
21. Moved objects detection
22. Counter application of objects inside the
surveillance area
Recommendations.
1. Fit 8 camera software capture cards as standard in
all installation. This will allow for any future expansion without
large costs increases and allows for the addition of covert
installations on all digital installations without the need of
separate equipment, and gives network access to the
log.
2. Fit 500Gb hard drive capacity as standard in all
installations to allow for future expansion.
3. Fit 17" flat screen monitors as standard in all
installations for no loss of dispensary workspace.
4. Fit silver public monitors in all installations with
silver or white brackets. To be aesthetically
pleasing.
5. Fit network cards and cabling to hub for future use (
would be beneficial to use networking from the offset as it is
advantageous for many reasons, ie covert, remote access to log
etc)
6. Set up meeting with your IT department and PJS IT
department to discuss network access and capabilities and types
before commencing any installations.
Equipment user
friendly, installation, DPA.
The system conforms to DPA requirements and has the DVD
writer to burn the images onto CD's for the police. The equipment
being P.C. Based is easy to use and customer training is given to a
appointed member of staff.
